The Knight of the Rose introduces himself as "chen yueli" . He tells us that he doesn't like his full name because it's associated with an upper-classman who "sacrificed herself" for the academy. He says that he never thought he would become a hero because of the "vicious battle" that took place fifteen years ago. He also says that there's going to be a match tomorrow, and that if he loses, everyone will shut him out. The Knight says that the match will be in the arena every Friday morning. The losing side will have to forfeit their chance to go out that weekend. He then tells us about the first match of the day, in which the sunlight division defeated the moonlight division in a best-of-three playoff. The light division won, and the darkness division lost. He's worried that something's wrong, but the Knight points out that the game is being played in real time, and he's the one who broke all the rules first. He explains that the only thing a vampire can do to save a woman is to use her blood, which isn't available in the real world.
