In this chapter, Huck continues his story of how he came to be with his brother. Huck tells his brother that he has come to free his friends from captivity. Huck says that he and his friend william of the templar have come to the aid of the king of France, who has disembarked from his army in order to support the king. Huck asks Huck to take care of gautier, who is a traitor and has already mastered the power of witchcraft. Huck begs Huck to kill pelagio, who remains loyal to his master. Huck replies that he himself has done what needs to be done to destroy the book of witchcraft, even betraying his own master.
