In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, a young woman named Haruka. Haruka tells us that her boss, Mr. Shindou, is a "monster" and that she should take a day's leave from work. She tells Mr. Murry, her boss's secretary, that she is sick and wishes to cancel a meeting with Mr. Shimada. She also tells him that she still hasn't thanked him for his help after the fire. She asks him to rub the morning, and he agrees.
