In this short scene, the Governess apologizes to her daughter for interfering with her business. She tells her that she will pay more attention to the matter later. The Governess asks her daughter if she wants to learn how to cook, and she says that she can do so when she has learned how to do so. She then tells her daughter that she is a mushroom, and that she cannot move because she is afraid of being pulled by her father. She says that if she confesses her love to her mother, she will be able to take care of her mother. When she hears her mother screaming, she runs to find her instead.
