Back at the lab, Bai is still conflicted. She wants to go back to the war, but she can't figure out how to do it. She's been there for ten days, and everyone forgot about her. She wakes up to find the monster outside the exam room gurgling. The monster has been captured in the south, and the north has also been captured. The south has been rendered dormant by the monster's inability to respond to its own impulses, while the north was captured by a stranger going into the lab. Bai says that she's teamed up with the monster today, and that she won't be able to get over her conflicted feelings until they're alone together.
