This chapter opens with the voice of the mysterious "god" , who tells the cat that he is the one who has sent him to the orphanage. The cat is surprised to find that the voice is so scared and frightened. The voice asks the cat if he is a boy or a demon, and the cat replies that the "boy" is just temporarily borrowing the cat's form. The "boy," however, does not like the orphanage because he feels that his life is meaningless. He wonders if the "war god" is jealous of his good looks, and he wonders if he has the emotional intelligence to figure out the rest of his life by himself. He also wonders if "the war god" has any "emotional intelligence." The cat wonders if gods do not have "any emotional intelligence," and wonders if war gods have any "war certification." He wonders whether the war god wants to "make fun of" the cat. He then wonders if it is the "mystery pervert organism" that has been cleaning up the orphanage's rooms and hallways, and wonders why people need to "help each other" out in life. He asks if it was the "perverted creature" who had cleaned up the rooms, but the cat says that if the principal had forced him to do so, he would have been "too lazy to." He then asks if the cat is alright, and asks if he can leave the orphanage when he is in such a state. He wants to be left alone,
