The next morning, Oliver wakes up in his battle suit. He's not sure why he's there, but he knows it's because of the director's request that he stay at the school. Oliver swears that he won't speak ill of his life ever again, and the director welcomes him to his new home. Oliver's spirit has become so weak, the director says, that even if it were damaged in battle, it wouldn't matter because Oliver is so weak. Oliver says that if he keeps going, he'll get killed, and then he rumbles. The ghost of ruby comes running out of her room, and Oliver realizes that she's the ghost of the battle suit, and he can't control her.
