About This Chapter
In this chapter, the young narrator muses on the possibility that the fairies might be able to live without their father. He muses that if they were able to grow up without him, then they might be free to do whatever they want. He also muses about the fact that he and dane had a sexual relationship in the late nineteenth century. He wonders how he will continue his story now that he has so much to see. He hopes to find out more about the underground world of Merridiah and the other strange creatures that inhabit it.
