The narrator then tells us about how Alice is looking for him, and how he can't deal with him. Alice tells the narrator that she's not "worse than her" , and that she doesn't need to be afraid. Alice then tells him that William wants to meet her. He's waiting for her at the garden. Alice says she'll send her some snacks, and then she leaves to get back to her "heart" . It turns out life isn't like this for Alice, she says, because of Will.
