In this chapter, we learn that the second car has been uncoupled, and that Yuzo and King Kajiwan are watching it. Titania is very sorry for the situation, but she can't figure out how to make it right now. She's afraid that if they use her left hand, they'll kill her. She asks if they can do anything if they have her right hand, and the answer is "no" . The location of the core, she says, is where many people have died in the past, and it's now no longer safe to handle information that could expose it to danger. The only way to find out what's going on is to climb to the top of the mountain.
