Now that he's healed his knee, Huck can't wait to tell his mom how much he loves her. He tells her that he can cure her disease when he grows up. Huck tells his mom that his father never came back even if his mom got sicker. He also tells Huck that his mom's death has changed his father's personality. Huck says that he no longer cares about people around him, and he flirts with girls without saying a word to them. He wonders if he inherited the power from his father, and wonders what kind of man his father might be. When he opens the magical box, he wonders if the box took away some of his emotions. He even thinks about his mom at work.
