In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist is waiting for something to happen, even if it doesn't actually happen. He's waiting for a rabbit to appear, for example, so he can do a pose. He wants to do this pose because it's so popular in the city, but nobody is around to do it. He decides to go out and try it out. He asks the protagonist where he's going, and the protagonist tells him to come along with him. The protagonist is excited to hear this, because it means he can go for a walk at night, too. He also tells the protagonist that his mentor, akira, is also going to school that night, so maybe he'll come along too. They talk about going for a swim in the ocean, and then the protagonist says he can't do any more splashy water. He says he'd totally rather just float to the sea, but then he thinks about the beach bunny he saw on the beach, and he wonders if that's the same thing. He thinks about it for a bit, and finally decides that the beach-bunny is a very unique thing to do, and that it would be cool to call it a "squish whoa" .
