This is a locked chapterCHAPTER 43: "THE RETALIATION AND DEFEAT OF KOTOKO IWANAGA PART 5"
About This Chapter
In this chapter, the narrator explains that he has killed all of his friends before committing suicide. He thinks back on the fact that he is responsible for their deaths and decides that he must at least take responsibility for his failure to prevent their deaths. The narrator tells us that the other men are surprised to hear that he killed them. He says that they were discussing the giraffe in the zoo when something happened. It was the great-grandfather of Hiiragi who brought the giraffe to the zoo and that caused the kirins curse to be written in the note. He explains that it is still possible that a person took a bottle and a piece of paper and forged a note in the bottle. The police found the note and believe that it was written by nagatsuka, but the narrator still doesn't understand how anyone could have gotten three men over the cliff without drugs. He adds that if he had had a knife, he would have killed them instead of fleeing. The three men were dead, and the police believe that the murderer was akira-nagatsuka. They'll help Tachibana okamachi reconstruct the story of how he got to the bottom of the case.
