About This Chapter
In this chapter, Roxane explains that she saw a man stabbed in a coin-lot parking lot. She didn't report the crime because the killer wanted to kill her, too. She doesn't know what to think, since she's married, and she'd never want to be accused of anything. Roxane says that if the killer had wanted her to witness the crime, she would have reported it to the cops. But if he wanted to scare her, she says, then he could have faked the murder to make her look like she was murdered by someone else. The killer could then use the fact that she witnessed the murder as an alibi to get her husband to confess to the crime. This would solve the whole murder-for-hire problem.
