In this chapter, the reader is introduced to a new character named "Lucifer." He is a young man who has just returned from the Crusades. He is in love with a beautiful woman named "Brecian." He wants to hold her in his arms, but he also wants to enslave her and torture her body. He feels that he is getting addicted to her and wishes that he could kill her. He wishes to cut off the head of the "god" that he worships. The narrator tells the reader that he can feel his own lust for the beautiful woman. He explains that there is a woman that when she looks at her lover's face, she cannot control herself. There is a man that when he looks at his face, he cannot control himself. Then, the narrator explains, he can fuck him. He says, "Even though I've already own his body, i still don't feel whole" . He then goes on to tell the reader how to seduce a man by using "valuable gifts" and then using the gifts to "spark the longing deep inside his heart" , which will then lead to the man committing suicide.
