This chapter opens with a flashback to a time when Edgar was drunk. He remembers that there was only one other man in the world who was not a drunk. This man was called "Florian" and he was the boss of another man who was also drunk. Edgar tells his friend that if Edgar does not get up, he will call his mom. Edgar says that he will stab his friend with a candle if he tries to escape.
