This chapter opens with a flashback to a time when the narrator was in love with a man named Nemo. Nemo and the narrator had been in love for a year, but they had broken up and Nemo had gone to live with his family. The narrator was shocked to learn that Nemo had never forgotten Nemo's childhood sweetheart, Yunna, and that he had even taken over the family's jilted lovemaking business. She tells Nemo that she will divorce him and marry him when she has enough money.
