In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, Florian, who has just arrived in the country. He is a bitter, angry young man, and we learn that he has been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. We learn that the police officer who arrested Florian had given him the key to his sister's car, and Florian was given the keys to his own car as well. We also learn that Florian's sister has been taken to the police station, where she is being questioned about the incident.
