The Governess asks why she is there, and the Governess tells her that the man is much better. She asks if she is planning on living with him, and he replies that she loves him. She tells him that she cannot get over him, because he was sick, and she needs her support. She says that she is tired, physically, and mentally, and that she understands now that he has realized his mistakes. She promises to move back to her parents' house immediately, but that she will not let them feel wronged again
