The next morning, Justine tells Lockwood that she's pregnant. She's not sure if she'll be able to keep it, but she doesn't want to be a burden to Lockwood's family. She tells Lockwood to take better care of himself, and Lockwood promises to take care of her. Justine says that she and Lockwood haven't seen each other for two months because Lockwood has been avoiding her at work because of Wendy's absence. Justine also says that Lockwood has become more and more like a father figure to her.
