In this chapter, we are told that the vision of the future is getting more and more blurred. It is clear to us that we are in the middle of the twentieth century. In other words, we have entered a new era. We are now in the 21st century, which means that things have not changed much in the past century. The future is still a long way off, but it is clear that things are getting worse.
