In this short scene, Huck finds out that he's a friend of Jesse's and that he and Jesse have been secretly in love for a long time. Huck asks if Jesse has asked him to be his girlfriend, and Jesse tells him that he doesn't know. He also tells Huck that Jesse has adopted a girl who looks just like Jesse, and that the reason for the date of the wedding is that it's Jane's death.
