Nolan tries to comfort Jeremy, who has been cooped up in his room all day. He tells him that he is free to live his life as he pleases, but that he can't afford to live in such a miserable place. He asks if they really have to leave him to his own devices, and he gets angry when he realizes that they are not there alone. He wants to know why Professor Miller chose him to be his assistant. Nolan says that he thinks they can make the disease more interesting by working with them. He says that they should not have to rush their decision, and that he would like to clean up the place himself.
