During this time, Miss Jessel receives a lot of threatening letters, but she thinks that all of it is for Jessel, who is having a wonderful life. When she sees him, she thinks of him as a character in her cousin's poster, an unreal and distant existence. She tells her that everyone is unique, and that she is as great as Jessel is.
