About This Chapter
In this chapter, the narrator reflects on his first love: "suffering and belief" . He confesses that he has never loved a celebrity before, and that he only loves Xieyu because he is like him in his sufferings and his belief in him. He tells the narrator to stop feeling bad, and to share some of his "honey qi yuchen" with him. The narrator admits that he is a bit of a hypocrite, because he has always believed that he was the only person in the group who was not like the other members. He says that he can only understand the strength of the man because he had made such a living in the circle at such an early age, and he had suffered a lot. He adds that he just wants the man to be happy, and stop making excuses for him. But the narrator is about to waver, because if he continues to believe in him, then he will be "done" by the end of the chapter.
