About This Chapter
The next morning, the narrator arrives at school an hour early because he wants to see xiyu. He wants to know what he's wearing, what he looks like in person, and what his mole looks like under his eye. He's also curious about the mole under his eyes, which makes him feel like he is being envied because he is closer to him. The teacher and the students discuss the auxiliary line, and the narrator asks the teacher how it should be added to the line. He still has questions about the line, though, and he doesn't understand how to answer them.
