In this chapter, we learn that the earthquake that struck in the middle of the night was caused by the same person who is responsible for the previous night's events. The Senior Brother tells his younger brother that it is okay to leave the earthquake in his room for a while, since he is awake. He tells his sister that he will not argue with her, since she has just woken up. He says that he is afraid that the next earthquake will be even more terrifying than the previous one, and that the person who caused the earthquake must also be responsible for it. He believes that the girl's aim is to kill the Senior Brother with her sword, and he says that his awakening must have been all that she was doing. He feels that she is using his awakening to stir trouble in order to kill him. He adds that he does not care who the mastermind is, as long as he kills her.
