The next day, Ming and Ling return to the holy land, where they find that Lu chen has killed all the remaining members of the sect. Ming says that he is glad to see his son again, and that he thinks that the holy fire within Ling chen's body will soon spread to deserted regions and even to the ninth heaven. Ming tells Ling that he will soon be able to reveal the identity of the man who went missing. He tells Ling to take the man seriously, as he is a descendant of a heavenly lord. Ling tells the two of them to go to the primordial god region with him, and Ming tells them to focus on their cultivation. Ling asks the holy lord if he will let Ling give back his sword, which he lost in the demon abyss. The holy lord replies that the sword belonged to the lady who lost it.
