In this chapter, the master explains that he came to support his disciple so that he would not be bullied. He tells the juniors that he heard that they often bully him in the wind-and-thunder sect, and he threatens to invite his father to his place for tea if he hears them bullying him again. He says that it is lu-chen who is bullying him all along, and that he wants to become a favorite of rich women. The demon dragon is still alive, he says, and the abyss is deep enough that they will not be able to see the raging soul of the dragon before they reach the bottom. The black flame is still there, he tells the master, and they still need to find it for each other. The master says that he has been falling for about ten minutes and still hasnt reached the abyss. The voice of the master is delivered by the telepathic link, and it says that the demon dragon soul is still asleep. He asks the juniors if they feel comfortable letting him enter the abyss alone. The juniors say that they do, but the master tells them that it will take him a month to get through the whole abyss.
