It's 15 years later, and the ten-thousand-weight-peak is about to open. The competitors are about to save a man who's seriously injured, when a guy sneaks up on them and stabs one of them. The guy thinks that if he takes the family's elixir and rushes up to the peak, he'll be able to resist the pressure, but the elixir won't stop him from doing so. So the guy kills himself and implicates everyone else in his death. It turns out that the guy who stabs the woman in the scuffle was his mother.
