The demon tries to kill the taoist with a "spirit locking technique" , but the scepter of the demon's will not let him do it. The demon then reads some of the memories of the wan and realizes that the trigger condition for his ability is touching him. The wan is a "mind control type" who knows that his name is too "known" in the west. He knows that the demon cannot be left alive. He decides that he will try to stop wan from catching him by using a "in situ" teleportation. The first task is to "kill the demon" and the second is to find a "physical body" to carry out the second task. If he does not achieve both of these tasks, the spirit body of his will disappear within three days.
