About This Chapter
In this chapter, Roxane tries to convince the reader that the blood race is not as bad as they think it is. She tells the audience that the attack on the human cities was not as smooth as she had hoped, and that albert had even gone personally to the city to personally greet the beautiful lady. Roxane invites the beautiful woman to one of her dances, and the baron's reaction is that she should be ashamed of offending the lord. The baron pulls closer, and Roxane realizes that the lady is looking for someone. She asks Roxane to follow her to find the whereabouts of the person. She finally finds her uncle Lehman, who explains that he sacrificed himself so Roxane could escape. Lehman tells Roxane that locke is fine, and she feels that she was tricked by him. She accuses him of planting a spy in her blood race, and he angrily replies that he is the lord of his race anyway, and is not making any fuss about it. He tells her that he has started to convene an old ministry to save the city.
