The vampire and the human encounter in the middle of the night. The vampire tells the human that they must leave immediately because the blood-race has chased them into the dark forest. He tells the man that he can take him to a human town outside the forest, but he must promise to help him lift the seal of the vampire's body, otherwise the vampire will not be able to use him. The two men hurry up to the town, but the vampire notices that there is no light in it at night. He wonders if the two sides of the town have been fighting each other. He decides to sacrifice some of his own blood to get past the vampires.
