This chapter opens with a flashback to the day of the wedding between Cai Ling and Gu Ling. Cai Ling is overjoyed to see Gu Ling, and she tells him that he is worthy of the title of "Great Sister of the One-hundred-Sects" . She tells him to go downstairs, because she has sensed the treasure. She also tells Cai Ling that he must have gone to the one-hundred sects to find yun-qiang, and that the two pieces of treasure will be hers. She says that she will try to get Gu Ling to marry her, but that she cannot control the power of the treasure, which is so powerful. She is afraid that the people of the hundred sects will come to kill her, and so she decides to take revenge on them. She calls for the demon sect to stir up the people, but they are too afraid to do so. She then tells Cai to stop thinking about the wedding, and to think about the treasures, which are useless to her now. She asks Cai Ling to come and offer her greetings to her mother, and Cai Ling tells her that he wants her to be his maid for life. He says that he still owes Cai Ling a promise, and he will visit her to fulfill it.
