In this chapter, we are introduced to the protagonist of the novel. He is a young man who has just returned from a trip to Hong Kong. He has just arrived at the Hong Kong International Airport and is on his way home when he encounters the protagonist's father. The father is a well-known businessman in Hong Kong, and the protagonist is very fond of him. He tells the father that he has come to see the protagonist because he wants to see him. The protagonist, however, is not interested in seeing the father. He wants to know the father's reasons for coming to the country, and he asks the father why he has not come to visit him. When the father tells the protagonist that he does not want to see his son, the protagonist tells him that he is afraid that the father will kill the child if he sees him.
