This is a locked chapterVol.3 Chapter 18: The Art Gallery
About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a conversation between Jean-Jacques and his roommate, Miss Anu, in which the two discuss the apparitions that they saw earlier in the day. They discuss the possibility that they were omens, or omens of future events, and the nature of the dreams that they had. The two discuss how they came to know about the occult, and how they had their favorite walkman, who was lying underneath them, crushed to death. They wonder why the car did not collide with them, and why the walkman did not die. They also discuss the disappearance of the headmistress of the school, the mistress of the Greenwich private college, and their niece, who is now the head mistress at the school. The conversation ends with the two discussing the fact that the school has been shut down, and that they will not be returning to it.
