The next two paintings in the series are very similar to Millie's stories, and the next one shows a ghost. It's called the "quinkan" and it's a kind of evil night spirit. They live in the woods, and they're afraid of campfires. They're also afraid of weeping trees. They ask Jeane to open the dorm door for them. She doesn't know what to do, but she's going to do it anyway. She tells Jeane that her friend has been locked out by her roommate and that she'll be able to catch up with them soon. She also tells her that there are no windows or skylights in the dorm room. She's not sure why, but something's telling her not to go into the gallery. She turns around and puts her left hand on her shoulder.
