Fifteen years have passed, and the silver dragon still hasn't appeared. The king has conquered many countries, but he's still depressed. The mage tells him that he needs to put a collar around the neck of the dragon, but the king doesn't have the money to do it, so he bets the mage a bunch of money that the dragon will come back and save him if he puts the collar around his neck. The silver dragon does come back, and he gives the king the gift of eternal life.
