This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the novel, in which the disciples are discussing the demonization of the sky demon liansheng. They discuss how the demon has been able to gain control over the souls of the dead, and how they are unable to stop him now. They decide that the only way they can get rid of the demon is to kill chu, and the only thing they can do is to go back to their temple and accumulate as much experience as they can before they can find him again. They are interrupted by the voice of the six-year-old tsk, who tells them that he is turning six in a month, and that he wants to play with them for a few days, but they are too impatient. He tells them to get away from the demon, and he tells them it is good to have flesh, and to stop fidgeting with their butt. He asks the disciples if they feel guilty towards the demon. They reply that it is none of their business, and they do not feel sorry for him. The master tells the disciples that he injured his hand when he went to hide some girls from the evil sky demon. He says that he will try to control the demon now, but that he has been busy with his business for so long that he can still stall for time. The disciples decide to observe the situation in secret.
