He's so excited to see the finished paintings in the gallery that he wants to become a painter when he grows up. He wants to be like his mom, who dreams of being a famous artist. The narrator says that his dream is that they can live happily after they're married. He asks if his mom's dream has come true, and she says that she's happy because she has such a wonderful mom. He says that he can't be upset about the exam tomorrow because he has to put up a good front in school. He offers to lend his guitar to the narrator so he can play while the narrator sings.
