The next morning, the two of them go for a walk, and the narrator complains about the fact that he has been left behind. He wonders how he will get there on his own, and wonders if men like to wear revealing clothes at the best times of the day. The assistant tells him that he hasn't seen him in a while, and that he's grown even prettier. He asks if there's anything he wants to eat, but the assistant says that aside from him, he has nothing else he wants more. He tells the assistant that he knows he'll be coming in, so he deliberately drove over to see if he'd seen him. He's shocked to find that the assistant has been waiting outside his house for him to return to his city, and yet he finds the assistant waiting in the street outside his own house. He says that he is tired of it, and wants to get married.
