The Governess tells the young man that he looks nothing like a murderer after he changes into his new clothes. He tells him that his new assistant, Shu-ying, has been busy cleaning the windows and moping the floors since she took over as his personal assistant. He says that he has to go to the university to see his mother, but that he will be back soon. The young man says he has been waiting for the Governess at the university for a long while, but now that he sees her, he feels like his body is "out of control." He tells her that he can wait for her there, but he is careful not to go too fast because he wants to make sure that she does not get too tired of waiting. He laughs at the thought that he would have to kick her as hard as he could, and she would be "confused to a wheelchair forever." He says he was afraid that she would not be with him ever since they signed the contract, and that he feels that she has been "walking on eggshells" around him. He wants her to pretend that everything is fine now that they have enough money, so that she will be able to "live happily ever after." He then pretends to be her boyfriend and convinces her mother to get some medical attention.
