The narrator tells us that he's looking for Yulan's "image advisor" . He wants to know if Yulan will hire him for a one-day appointment, but the current Yulan isn't up to the task. The narrator asks Yulan to write a contract for the job, but he doesn't have the money to do so yet. He's afraid he'll commit a crime while helping Yulan.
