About This Chapter
The three brothers are sleeping together in the old house, and one of them tells the other that the house is very noisy. He tells the brothers to talk to their senior, who is as upstanding as they are. He also tells them not to get too involved in the "yamainu" . He reminds them that they were willing to help him when he was in trouble, and he reminds them of how he protected them when they were younger. He says that he has business with the Captain, who tells him that a man who looks like a fox mask is collecting stolen goods from the floor of the go-kumonjo. The man says that if the man were to die, it would mean fewer vessels for the captain to collect. The brothers wonder why they sent the man to go to go-komonjo, and they wonder if it is because he is a pawn for them
