In this short scene, we get a brief description of the relationship between Sebastian and Enos. We learn that Enos and Sebastian have been friends since the beginning of the novel, and that they are both very fond of each other. We also learn that Sebastian has been trying to befriend Enos, but she has refused, and he has been unable to make up his mind whether or not he should be friends with her. He does, however, realize that he is not as bad as he thought he was, and so he apologizes to Enos for the bullying he has done to her.
