About This Chapter
The narrator explains that he was born with red hair, a color that people think he's weird. He's been teased about it by his friends and even by his girlfriend, who thinks he looks like a white girl. The narrator doesn't know why people hate him or why they don't want to be friends with him, but he does know that he has no friends. He tells the narrator to stop acting so high and mighty and stop acting like a total jerk. He scolds the narrator for getting low grades and for acting so selfish. He also scolds him for being a bit of a jerk, for acting like he can't blame the teachers for their low grades. He asks the narrator if it's the new student who's behind him, and the narrator tells him that it is. He then asks if the guy is the trouble maker. The trouble maker says that he wants to talk to the narrator about joining the math team, and that's why he called on the narrator. But the narrator has to ask permission from his parents before he can talk to him. He wants to tell the story as soon as he can, so he asks the troublemaker to go ahead and tell him about it
