In this chapter, we meet Lin-hao, who has just returned from the hospital, where he saw the body of her dead husband. He tells us that he is very sorry that he did not give his daughter a happy home, and that he wishes he could see her again. He asks her to forgive him for all of his mistakes, and says that she still has a wonderful life ahead of her. She tells him that her home is with her, her parents, and her son-in-law, and she wishes she could go home and wipe her tears.
