The narrator returns home from work and finds that his home is in the middle of a rainstorm. He is surprised to find that it is the home of an old friend, Antanas, who has just returned from a reunion in another city. The narrator is also surprised to learn that the reunion was attended by many people who have not seen him in a long time.
