The scene opens with a rustle in the driver's car. It's not a thief, it's just the sound of a car being pushed into the road. The driver apologizes, but the noise doesn't make him feel any better. He's glad to hear the noise, because he's been to the hot springs before. He wants to go back to his room and watch the sunrise with Linhao and the other guests. He asks if the man he met on the eve of the New Year's Eve was a friend of Linhao's, and the man replies that he wasn't expecting him to be such a friend. The next morning, the two men plan to go for a walk. Linhao asks if they'll be able to see the sunrise from the top of the mountain. The two men agree that it would be nice, but they're not sure what to do with themselves for the moment. The men decide to eat breakfast together, and then the men discuss their plans for the next day. The first question is whether or not Linhao is serious about his new girlfriend, jia. The second question is if he believes in love, at first sight. He says that he has only met jia once before, and she reminds him of his first love. The third question is, "Why is she so, why?
