In this chapter, Dea explains that the rumor that he has heard about a woman named xiaojiabuchi is not true, but that he needs an actor to help him with some other case. He explains that he met the woman at a remote town and bought chestnuts from her, but when he returned, she acted coldly toward him. He suspected that she was controlled by someone, and he went to investigate. He found out that the woman belonged to a group called "The Pit of Fallen Angels" and that she had never spoken to anyone. He suspects that she may have been abducted. He decides to ask other members of the group, and then he leaves.
